Day 1: Arrival – Transfer from the airport
Upon your arrival our driver will meet you at the airport and accompany to your hotel.
You have a chance to stay at Hotels or Apartments in the city center with the best location. From these cozy places you will have quick access to metro station and the most popular sightseeing in Yerevan which are on a short walking distance. We offer modernly furnished accommodation with breakfast and 24/7 service, to provide you with comfortable and relaxed stay. We will do our best to make sure, that Armenia will be in the list of your favorite destinations!
Day 2: Group Tour – Tatev Monastery, “Wings of Tatev” Ropeway (two-way), Shaki Waterfall, Carahunge, “Hin Areni” Winery (tour and wine tasting), Traditional Lunch
This trip is one of the longest daily tours we have to offer, and it’s definitely worth it. The South of Armenia is both stunning and very different from the North, and it only takes about 2 hours to drive from Yerevan to Areni. The town is known for its spectacular history in wine making, bearing the name of one of the oldest grape varieties in the world. Driving for 2 more hours, we will arrive at the longest airway tramway in the world (approx. 6 km), which was registered in the Guinness book of records in 2010. The Wings of Tatev will take us straight to the 9th century Tatev Monastery, which once was the educational and spiritual center of Armenia. It’s built on a high plateau in the Vorotan river gorge, and is surrounded by breathtaking mountains and dense forests. Shaki Waterfall is a waterfall in Armenia, with a height of 18 m. It is located in Syunik Province. On the left side of the river Vorotan’s gorge, basalt lava flows have solidified to form a ledge 18 meters high from which the waterfall cascades down.
About an hour of driving back will take you to one of the most ancient observatories in the world – Carahunge, the Armenian Stonehenge, which is a whopping 7500 years older than the world famous Stonehenge. This is one of the most mystical spots on our planet and is yet to be explored!
Day 3: Group Tour – Garni, Geghard, Lavash Baking and tasting
This fantastic tour will introduce you to the exotic Pagan history of Armenia, and show the later development and spread of Christianity in the country. The first stop is Garni Temple (77 A.D.) –it is the only standing heathen temple in the whole post-Soviet area. The Monastery complex of Geghard is another historical site included to this tour. St. Geghard symbolizes the lance with which the Roman centurion pierced Jesus after crusifixion.Not far from the temple of Garni (about 10 minutes’ walk), there is a cozy local restaurant with an amazing view of the temple, where you can relax and take part in master-class of tasting of freshly baked lavash – traditional Armenian flatbread.
OR – Group Tour: Saghmosavank Monastery, Kasagh Gorge, Armenian Alphabet Monument, Amberd Fortress, Local Sweets making Masterclass and Treat Saghmosavank is translated as the monastery of psalms. Our next destination is the Amberd fortress, located on the slopes of Mount Aragats – the highest peak in Armenia. The name “Amberd” originates from the fact that the fortress is located at the altitude of 2300m above the sea level, translating as “Fortress in the Clouds”.
Day 4: Group Tour – Echmiadzin (St. Hripsime, St. Gayane, Mother Cathedral, Treasury Museum), Zvartnots
This daily tour will begin by visiting St. Hripsime church, which was built on the sepulcher of a Christian nun Hripsime who fled from the Roman Empire and was killed in Armenia. This amazing building has stood upright from the day of its construction since 618 A.D, making it one of the oldest standing churches in the world. Five minutes’ drive away will be our next spot: the 7th century church of St. Gayane. After this stop, you will be able to observe the first world’s first Christian Cathedral – the Holy Echmiadzin, built in 301-304. On the way back to Yerevan, we will make a final stop at another beautiful 7th century temple Zvartnots, also included in the UNESCO heritage list.It is a unique building with its architectural structure.
Day 5: Group Tour: Sevan Lake, Sevanavank Monastery, Dilijan Old Town Tour, Haghartsin and Goshavank Monasteries, Traditional Lunch
This tour will take you to the North of Armenia, where you will be surrounded by Dilijan beautiful nature. After exploring the city of Dilijan, we will make a stop at the monastery of Haghartsin, dating back to the 10th -14th centuries. The scenery is somewhat similar to a stunning work of art, with both the monastery and the nature surrounding it providing a breathtaking view. The refectory of Haghartsin is considered the biggest among Armenian Church architecture.
The next stop is Lake Sevan, as a blue gem of the Armenian mountain escape. Whilst staying in Armenia, you simply cannot miss the opportunity of visiting the beautiful lake Sevan which is situated at the height of 1900m above sea level and surrounded by a vast chain of mountains.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport – Departure
On the last day of your tour the transfer to the airport will be organized. We hope you will take with you the best memories about Armenia and a spark of coming back again!
