Amberd Fortress

Amberd Fortress is a spectacular medieval fortress located on the slopes of Mount Aragats, at an altitude of around 2,300 meters. Dating mainly to the 10th–13th centuries, Amberd served as an important defensive stronghold and offers impressive views over the surrounding mountains and valleys. Visitors can explore the remains of the fortress, its church, and the historic walls.

Tegher Monastery

Tegher Monastery is a peaceful 13th-century Armenian monastery situated on the southern slopes of Mount Aragats. Built from dark volcanic stone, the monastery is known for its simple yet elegant architecture and beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Saghmosavank Monastery

Saghmosavank Monastery is a striking 13th-century monastery perched on the edge of the Kasagh River gorge.
