This fantastic tour will introduce you to the exotic Pagan history of Armenia, and show the later development and spread of Christianity in the country.
The first stop is near Charent’s arch which was names in honour of Armenian poet Eghishe Charents, who loved this place and used to visit it frequently.
The next stop will be is the Monastery complex of Geghard. St. Geghard symbolizes the lance with which the Roman centurion pierced Jesus after crucifixion. Later the lance had been brought to Armenia and kept in Geghard Monastery for 5 centuries. The complex presents Armenia of 13th century, which is considered to be the Golden Age of the country’s architecture. However, the most astonishing part of this complex is its architectural solution churches drilled into the solid rock that were constructed in accordance to the rules of Armenian architecture. Geghard Monastery is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Garni Temple (77 A.D.) is another historical site included to this tour. It is the only standing heathen temple in the whole post-Soviet area. The temple gracefully stands on a high plateau overlooking the Azat river gorge. The surrounding area itself is incredibly beautiful. The greek-roman bath house with the mosaic, made out of 30,000 pieces of natural stones, as well as the ruins of the royal palace, will take you to 3rd century A.D.
Not far from the temple of Garni (about 10 minutes’ walk), there is a cozy local restaurant with an amazing view of the temple, where you can relax and take part in master-class of tasting of freshly baked lavash – traditional Armenian flatbread. Here you will also enjoy traditional Armenian lunch.
After having a lunch, your last stop before returning to Yerevan will be the gorge of “Symphony of stones” . These rocks start from the beginning up to the highest point of the canyon. The monument consists of huge paradoxically symmetric hexagon and pentagon basalt columns (nearly 100 meters high). The gorge got its name from the amazing resemblance to the church organ. There are especially many such rocks in the gorge of the Azat River, which is included in the UNESCO heritage list.

The Geghard Monastery looks like you’re in the Game of Thrones set, I was a really amazing experience. I was really mind-blown with Sachna’s voice when he started singing. Such a talented man and knows a lot of history and culture about Armenia!

Спасибо большое персоналу Yerani Travel за незабываемые впечатления от поездки в Армению! Не смотря на то, что декабрь – не лучшее время для посещения Армении, компания сделала все, чтобы показать красоту своей страны. О компании узнала из буклета, который вручили при выходе из Аэропорта Звартноц. Почитала описание разных вариантов экскурсий, решила сразу купить три из них, все три – вне Еревана. В первый день был выезд к языческому храму в Гарни и к монастырю в Гегард, там же нам показали, как выпекается армянский лаваш. Во второй день – Эчмиадзин и храм Звартноц, мастер-класс по приготовлению долмы (конечно же с последующим поеданием своих трудов). Третий день выдался самым протяженным, поскольку ездили в отдаленные от Еревана места – Цахкадзор, озеро Севан (моя душа географа просто ликовала), Дилижан. Все три экскурсии включали обеды в ресторанах, обеды с национальными блюдами. От них можно было отказаться, но я очень рада, что этого не сделала и сполна насладилась армянской кухней (рыба сиг на мангале – это шедевр).
Экскурсии ведутся на русском и английском языках (всю информацию гиды дублируют). Очень интересно слушать, гиды большие молодцы (спасибо Сона и Аида!). На все вопросы отвечают интересно и развернуто.
Армянские дороги – это местами очень крутые серпантины, поэтому отдельно отмечу мастерство водителей (спасибо, Гамлет!).
Не смотря на то, что во второй день было только три экскурсанта, экскурсия состоялась в полном объеме!
Очень рекомендую всем воспользоваться услугами данной компании!

Ездили на экскурсию в языческий храм Гарни и монастырь Гегард. Несмотря на то что утром собирались у офиса человек 100 и было очень грустно наблюдать за этой хаотично толпой, наша гид Армина спасла экскурсию своим очарованием и заботой. Очень интересно рассказывала про Армению, патриот своей страны, давала нам свободное время прогуляться, ещё и прекрасно спела для нас в монастыре. Ланч тоже входил в нашу экскурсию, нам все понравилось. Если коротко, то очень рекомендуем это агентство, даже несмотря на этот утренний переполох. Все супер, процветания вам.

Новый год решили встретить в Ереване. Купили билеты на самолёт на 29 декабря, забронировали апартаменты. Заранее составили план посещения музеев и памятных мест. В инете попался сайт Yerani Travel, выбрали экскурсию 30 декабря, храм Гарни – монастырь Гегард.

We took this trip on a Sunday during our stay in Yerevan.
Booking was easy (we did everything online), and communication by email with Alisa and Elen was flawless.
We were picked up at our hotel, and then started our tour. Our group was small (7 people). The minivan was comfortable and warm (the were -15 degrees outside!), it was equipped with winter tyres (which was a must, due to the heavy snow and to the frozen roads) and wifi was provided on board throughout the whole trip.
Our guide Hovhannes was kind and prepared, and his explanations were clear and interesting. He even sang a hymn for us, to show us the magical acoustics inside a monastery.
The lunch was abundant and was served in a cosy room with a fireplace in a nice restaurant overlooking Lake Sevan. Options for vegetarians were provided.
I would definitely recommend Yerani Travel to anyone who is planning a visit in Armenia!
