Day 1: Arrival – Transfer from the airport. Upon your arrival our driver will meet you at the airport and accompany to your hotel.
Day 2: Group Tour – Tsaghkadzor (Kecharis Monastery, Ropeway), Sevan Lake (Sevanavank), Boat ride. Many people visit Tsaghkadzor for its fresh air, which is known to have a countless number of health benefits.Kecharis Monastery Complex of 11th century is also located here. It was founded by Pahlavuni princes.The next stop is Lake Sevan that is only 30 minutes’ drive distance from Tsaghkadzor. It is known as a blue gem of the Armenian mountainscape.After discovering historical landmarks, you will also have a chance to enjoy the blue waters of Sevan more closely during the boat trip.
Day 3: Yerevan City Tour: History Museum of Yerevan, Carpet Museum and Carpet weaving masterclass, Brandy Factory, excursion and legendary Armenian Brandy tasting, Genocide Memorial. Start your journey with a tour in Armenia’s beloved capital – the city of Yerevan, during which you will have a chance to get acquainted with the rich culture of Yerevan, taste Armenian traditional food as well as the legendary Armenian brandy.
Day 4: Group Tour – Hovhannavank, Saghmosavank, Armenian Alphabet Monument, Amberd Fortress. This day trip takes you to explore one of the most beautiful gorges of Armenia: the Gorge of Qasakh River, famous for its beautiful churches standing right on cliff’s edge.aghmosavank is translated as the monastery of psalms. The monastery of Hovhannavank is about 5km south from Saghmosavank.
Day 5 and 6 : Group Tour To Artsakh. 1st day – Lake Sevan, Dadivank, Gandzasar, Stepanakert (overnight in hotel). 2nd day – Shushi (St.Ghazanchetsots Cathedral), Khndzoresk, Tatev (“Wings of Tatev” cable car, Monastery), “Hin Areni” winery (tour and wine tasting, traditional lunch. Dadivank is another historical site included to this tour. It is an ancient monastery complex in the Karvachar region of Artsakh Republic.The next stop is Gandzasar monastery. It is located in the Mardakert district of Artsakh Republic and dates back to the 10 th century. The overnight will be arranged in the capital of Artsakh-Stepanakert. The next day will give you an opportunity to get acquainted with Shushi which is situated at an altitude of 1,400–1,800 meters in the picturesque mountainscape of Artsakh and is one of the main cities of the Artsakh Republic. Khndzoresk is another spot included in this day trip. The Wings of Tatev will take us straight to the 9th century Tatev Monastery, which once was the educational and spiritual center of Armenia.The longest reversible cableway in the world (5752 m), recorded in the Guinness Book of Records.
Day 7: Group Tour: Gyumri (Old Town observing tour), Dzitoghtsyan Museum, Black Fortress, Marmashen church. This tour will take you on a journey back in time, to the glorious past of Armenia. We will visit the city of Gyumri – once the artistic capital, and possibly the most beautiful city of Armenia. You will get the chance to explore the city center with its two famous churches, as well as the Black Fortress.The next spot included in this day trip is the 10th century monastic complex of Marmashen, located on the bank of Akhuryan River. Marmashen monastery is an evidence of country’s ancient history.
Day 8: Group Tour: Haghpat Monastery, Mikoyan house-museum, Sanahin Monastery, Armenian Barbeque making master-class and traditional full lunch. During this tour, we will be travelling in the direction of north-east, to one of the greenest regions of Armenia – the region of Lori, where two of the three monasteries are in included the UNESCO list. The monasteries of Haghpat and Sanahin are closely connected, and located within 20 minutes of drive from each other.Mikoyan house-museum is also included in this tour. In the museum Mikoyan’s family’s personal things are shown, as well as materials that tell about their past actions.This tour is also unique with its masterclass of Armenian Barbecue. You will have the opportunity not only to get familiar with the secrets of the traditional Armenian dish, but also taste it during the lunch.
Day 9: Free Day
Day 10: Group Tour – Garni, Geghard, Lavash Baking and tasting. This fantastic tour will introduce you to the exotic Pagan history of Armenia, and show the later development and spread of Christianity in the country. The first stop is Garni Temple (77 A.D.) –it is the only standing heathen temple in the whole post-Soviet area. The Monastery complex of Geghard is another historical site included to this tour. St. Geghard symbolizes the lance with which the Roman centurion pierced Jesus after crusifixion.Not far from the temple of Garni (about 10 minutes’ walk), there is a cozy local restaurant with an amazing view of the temple, where you can relax and take part in master-class of tasting of freshly baked lavash – traditional Armenian flatbread.
Day 11: Group Tour – Sevan Lake (Hayravank), Noratus Cemetery, Selim Pass, Jermuk, “Hin Areni” winery (excursion and wine tasting). Whilst staying in Armenia, you simply cannot miss the opportunity of visiting one of the country’s most renowned landmarks – the beautiful lake Sevan.The trip will continue along the shore to reach Noratous, a village which is home to the largest collection of the Armenian Khachkars – stone steles engraved with a cross, designed to show the way to salvation. After Selim Pass you will continue the trip to Jermuk that is positioned within forests and mountains, on a little plateau, 2080 m above sea level; the plateau is partitioned into two parts by the Arpa river gorge. On the way back to Yerevan, you will have a stop in “Hin Areni” winery and will taste the wide variety of armenian wines.
Day 12: Free Day
Day 13: Group Tour – Echmiadzin (St. Hripsime, St. Gayane, Mother Cathedral, Treasury Museum), Zvartnots. This daily tour will begin by visiting St. Hripsime church, which was built on the sepulcher of a Christian nun Hripsime who fled from the Roman Empire and was killed in Armenia. This amazing building has stood upright from the day of its construction since 618 A.D, making it one of the oldest standing churches in the world. Five minutes’ drive away will be our next spot: the 7th century church of St. Gayane. After this stop, you will be able to observe the first world’s first Christian Cathedral – the Holy Echmiadzin, built in 301-304. According to the legend, Jesus Christ descended from heaven and showed the place where later Gregory the Illuminator ordered to build the church. On the way back to Yerevan, we will make a final stop at another beautiful 7th century temple Zvartnots, also included in the UNESCO heritage list.It is a unique building with its architectural structure.
Day 14: Transfer to the airport – Departure
